Startup, early-stage, and fully-operational companies:  the partners at XAP have served in the C-suite in all of these environments.  Our collective experience includes: starting and running companies to exit; stepping into leadership roles in early stage companies to initiate or finalize capital raises and redefine operations or markets; leading established executive teams in very fast-paced, high-growth companies; and leading large, mature organizations through difficult headwinds and associated changes.

Our engagements typically take the form of:

  • Conducting a thorough assessment of the “as is” and the desired “to be.” Helping to create the right strategies, operational units, and/or organizational structures that most effectively optimize the strengths of the company; creating technology platforms that are scalable and secure and technology teams that fully contribute to business goals; building client bases; assisting with raising capital; establishing sustainable operations and revenue.
  • Using the objectivity and experience of our team, we engage with entrepreneurs and/or business owners on specific problems, challenges or roadblocks that are impacting the growth, funding or sustainability of the company.
  • Serving as interim CEO, COO, CFO, or CIO, as needed, with established companies to provide: an injection of outside perspective; thought leadership beyond their current knowledge base; interim stability while filling a vacancy and/or conducting a search. In these roles we provide relevant experience, operational oversight, investor stability, business development, and financial sustainability.
  • Executive coaching, mentoring, and advising.

We treat every engagement as if it were our own family business, assigning a managing partner based on relevance and relationship.  This partner is supported by all our other partners and we all participate as needed or requested.  In concert with you and with consideration for your needs, we establish specific outlines, goals, and expectations for every engagement.  No matter the role, we assume responsibility and accountability as if we are a member of the organization.

More than anything, we are proud of our lasting relationships with our clients.  We serve as ongoing confidants as they navigate short and long-term transitions and complexities.  We are often asked to serve as Board members for clients we have assisted as this provides on-going support and guidance to our clients.
